A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens

5th Grade teacher at St. Mary of the Hills school in Milton, has been educating young minds for the past 12 years. Growing up in her homeland of The Commonwealth of Dominica in the sunny Caribbean, young Alexia was involved in various drama groups , leading her to beat out hundreds to capture the role of Olivette , when British Based Pictures Palace Productions , travelled to the island to film the 1991 movie the Orchid House based on a novel by the same name written by Dominican-born author and poet Phyllis Shand Allfrey, acting alongside well -known actresses such as Madge Sinclair and Elizabeth Hurley.

Alexia is cast in the role of The Ghost of Christmas past, in her debut performance as a new member of the Canton Community Theatre. " I am beyond excited" exclaimed Alexia following a recent dress rehearsal , lasting over 4 hours. This will be her first time in many years stepping in front of the curtain, having been in the back doing double- duty as she serves as Director for many of the school's drama productions, such as Honk, Beauty and the Beast and High School Musical Jr.to name a few,helping young thespians hone their acting skills developing poise and confidence on stage.

Thankful for her early start and introduction to theatre as a young girl in Dominica, Alexia ( always giving back) is known to be an ongoing Patriot and Ambassador who along with the support of the school, her many students and Milton community has teamed up to provide assistance and aid in many ways shipping educational supplies ,to the island following the aftermath of the devastation caused by the category 5 Hurricane Maria in September 2017. Alexia serves as Co-Chair of the Education Committee for the non-profit organization Boston for Dominica assisting in the relief efforts.

The St. Mary of the Hills School and community wish Alexia and the entire cast of A Christmas Carol a successful run , in what is sure to put us all in the holiday spirit.
