Improbable Players' 'Group Chat' Addresses Youth Addiction

MILTON, MA — Milton youth are invited to watch the Improbable Players' webinar production "Group Chat" Wednesday night as the troupe made up of young people in recovery address youth addiction.

The Zoom link for the 8 p.m. show can be found here. The performance includes a "talkback" segment where audience members can ask questions of the cast.

"The Group Chat" is the story of four friends in their first year of high school while one friend starts to use alcohol to cope with stress and the other friends witness changes that ensue. The play hits on themes of how addiction affects relationships, how to talk about addiction with those affected and the paths to recovery.

"The Group Chat" is ideal for teens and the adults around them.

The Milton Department of Health, Milton Public Library, Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners are sponsoring the project.
