Shaw Home in Middleboro on Friday, June 5th, the women of B.I.G. will host a special regional event for all entrepreneurial-minded women in the area who may desire a morning of empowerment and inspiration. The event will feature a special presentation on “Making the Big Shift”, by B.I.G.’s Founder Tara Gilvar who will be traveling from New Jersey for this special event.

“What I discovered at the very first gathering of women in my living room and have dedicated my life to since that fateful morning was that every woman has special gifts and skills that deserveto be explored and shared with the world,” said Gilvar. “By offering safe and supportive environments where women can gain self-confidence about their ideas, build momentum for their professional goals and retain the opportunity to keep their personal and family lives sacred, they can and do flourish and the world as a whole benefits.”

What began in the New Jersey living of B.I.G. Founder Tara Gilvar in 2009, as a way to bring women in her community together to explore their personal and professional desires by exploring “who they were in the past; who they are currently and who they wanted to be moving forward,” has evolved into a fast growing women’s empowerment organization that has attracted nearly 2,500 members from communities throughout the Northeast. To date, nearly 500 Massachusetts women have been part of B.I.G. since 2009.

All area women are welcome to attend this morning of empowerment and inspiration.

The event will be held on Friday, June 5th from 10 a.m. to noon at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home, 299 Wareham Street in Middleboro. A donation of $10 and pre-registration is required. Proceeds from these donations will support the efforts of More than Me, an international non-profit organization that offers education to Liberia, Africa’s most vulnerable girls and the Hannah B.G.
