Milton Public Library Closes To Prevent Spread Of Coronavirus
The library announced on Monday that it will remain closed until further notice.
MILTON, MA — Milton Public Library announced Monday that it will remain closed until further notice due to the number of positive coronavirus cases in the town.
The latest statistics from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health released on Thursday revealed that Milton remains a coronavirus "red zone", meaning that it is at the highest risk of COVID-19 transmission and has had at least 10 average daily cases per 10,000 residents and a 5% positivity rate.
The town has experienced a total of 1,201 cases, with 232 reported in the last two weeks. Milton currently has an average daily incidence rate of 57.6 and a positivity rate of 5.21%.

Although in-person library visits will be unavailable, all curbside services will remain available during the library's current operating hours, which are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
