Egan said the interim superintendent will be announced at Wednesday night's school committee meeting.

"Due to the health and racial pandemics our district is currently facing, we want this interim position filled as soon as possible," she said. "In the meantime, please be assured that Assistant Superintendents Dr. Glenn Pavlicek, Dr. Karen Spaulding, our principals and administrators are a stellar group of leaders who have the best interests of the Milton Public Schools at heart. They —along with our teachers — are more than capable of moving the district forward during these difficult times."
