New Pope Francis Elected: Milton Priest Reacts
The white smoke appeared on Wednesday, signaling that the conclave had chosen Argentinian Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio to be the new head of the Catholic Church. What direction do you think Pope Francis will lead the Church?

Father Peter Casey of St. Agatha's Parish spoke enthusiastically about the selection of the new pope, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who was named Pope Francis I today.
"Watching the telecast these past few days, it's been exciting," said Casey. "Obviously, I don't personally know anything about our new Holy Father, but I truly believe the spirit of God is working through the Cardinals' selection."
Bergoglio previously served as the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, according to the Vatican website. Bergoglio replaces Pope Benedict XVI, who recently retired.

Pope Francis, 76, is described as a humble man, who favors walking and public transportation over a private limousine, and who preferred to live in a tiny apartment and cook his own meals, eschewing the trappings of his office.
"I look forward to seeing what happens. I truly believe the Church will continue to move ahead," said Casey. "It is an exciting time, an historic time."
