Nursing Student Killed in Car Crash

Evan Bard, 20, was a passenger in a car that slammed into a wall and tree.

A Curry College nursing student was killed in a Saturday morning crash on Bolivar Street in Canton.

The person has been identified as 20-year-old Evan Bard by Curry College, where she was a junior studying nursing.

The Canton Police Department has refused to release any information about the crash, but CBS Boston reported the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office says Bard was a passenger in a car that slammed into a wall and tree shortly after midnight.

Curry College posted a statement about Bard's death on its Facebook page:

Curry College is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our students, Evan Bard, a nursing major in the Class of 2014, who passed away early this morning in a car accident in Canton. Evan was a resident of the Suites, and a member of the cheerleading team.

The Curry College community sends our thoughts and prayers to Evan’s family and friends. Our hearts go out to them at this difficult time.
