Pedestrian Struck, Killed On I-93 In Milton

A Mattapan man standing on I-93 was killed when he was struck by two SUVs on the highway Thursday night.

MILTON, MA — A Mattapan man standing on I-93 was killed when he was struck by two SUVs on the highway Thursday night.

State Police said Tat Segundo, 49, of Mattapan was pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center after he was struck with the passenger side mirror of a Honda CRV, and then the bumper of a Dodge Caliber.

State Police said it is unclear why the victim was on the highway outside of a vehicle.

The strike happened about 8:30 Thursday night near Route 9 in Milton. Segundo was found on the highway suffering from serious injuries and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Honda was driven by a 25-year-old woman, and the Dodge driven by a 30-year-old man. State Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
