Rosa Parks Day 2/4/19

Today 2/4/19 would have been the late Civil Rights Activist's 106th Birthday

Today the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery Alabama honored the late Civil Rights Activist on what would have been her 106th birthday. Music filled the air,school children visited and flowers decorated her statue.

Right here in Massachusetts on #RosaParksDay,thanks to a bill by State Senator Walter F.Timilty, bill 2410,the Civil Rights Activist whose refusal to relinquish her seat on a public bus to a white man, launching the Montgomery bus boycott,will now be honored with stickers on all MBTA buses in Massachusetts.

Senator Timilty who represents Norfolk,Bristol and Plymouth District,urged all in honor of Rosa Parks to continue the fight for social justice to ensure that every man, woman and child is treated equally.
