MILTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is planning to move ahead with a resurfacing project on Blue Hill Avenue amid the state's stay-at-home mandate during the coronavirus pandemic. The project on Route 138 covers Blue Hills Avenue from Brush Hill Road near the Trailside Museum almost down to the Blue Hills Parkway.

On Tuesday, the contractor began raising the utility construction castings on Route 138. The work is being done during the day for the next two weeks. Once completed, the road will be milled in preparation for repaving.

Repaving work is scheduled to be then done at night. Residents are asked to not park cars on Blue Hills Avenue. The roadway needs to be cleared of parked cars, which will interfere with the contractor. Temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted in the affected areas.
