'Smiles, Cooperation and Happiness': Little League 8s Hit It Out of the Park
Milton team finish the summer season with first-place win.
The Milton National Little League 8s just finished the summer season with a record of 15 and 3. They finished in first place at the 10th Annual Pembroke Summer Invitational Tournaments, this weekend.
The 8s beat teams from Pembroke, Duxbury, and Hanover to finish first place (4-0). The squad was beaten by Braintree American Whites in the final of the Friendship League’s Hedlund Division.
Coach JP Plunkett said this squad was the most incredible team he’d ever witnessed.

“The main thing was that these kids always got along with each other, no negativity, no bickering. A lot of smiles, cooperation and happiness. Truly, this was special. There was nothing but cooperation, every kid was pulling for one another,” said Plunkett.
