Team Heart In Milton Named Top-Rated Nonprofit
GreatNonprofits has named Team Heart, Inc., of Milton, as one of America's top-rated nonprofits for 2019.
MILTON, MA — Team Heart Inc., of Milton, has been named one of America's top-rated nonprofits for 2019. The designation comes from GreatNonprofits, a provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.
Team Heart's mission is to reduce the burden of heart disease in Rwanda. Since 2008, the organization has provided life-saving surgical care, prevention and awareness programs and mentoring of local staff. In 2014 Team Heart signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Health in Rwanda to build a state-of-the-art cardiac center in Rwanda, to help alleviate that country's heart disease issues.
According to GreatNonprofits, Team Heart has provided life-saving cardiac surgical care to more than 190 patients.
