Senator Walter Timilty arranged and participated in the meeting in Milton, which was attended by Milton’s MCAC representative, Thomas Dougherty, Select Board Chair Katie Conlon, and Select Board Member Mike Zullas. During the meeting, the Milton officials stressed the need for dispersion and rotation of approach procedures to Logan Runway 4R to help restore equity among the communities below that flightpath.
In making the case for Milton and other “heavily burdened” communities, Congressman Lynch told the FAA that its “goal should be to distribute both arrivals and departures at Logan Airport as widely and safely as possible so that no single community should be severely overburdened.”
