Intermittent snow is expected from Friday to Monday, meaning a rare Christmas snowfall could be in store.

MILTON, MA – Christmas weekend – Saturday especially – will be among the busiest shopping days of the year, and Mother Nature won't be taking it easy on you. The National Weather Service this week predicted a smattering of inconvenient winter weather through Saturday, followed by a peek of sun before snow Christmas Eve into Christmas morning.

Snow, mainly after noon. High near 33. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Rain and snow likely before 10pm, then a chance of rain between 10pm and 3am, then freezing rain likely after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday
Freezing rain likely before 9am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 41. North wind around 6 mph becoming south in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
