Celebration Planned for NAHS Class of '16 at Thomson Elementary

Students of the graduating class who attended the Thomson School will return for one last send-off

NORTH ANDOVER – On Monday morning recent North Andover High School graduates who attended Thomson Elementary School will return for a special send-off.

Dressed in their caps and gowns, members of the NAHS class of 2016 will march through the grounds as current Thomson School students clap them on. "This is the first time any of the schools have done this," says parent Sally Finnimore.

The class of 2016 graduated Friday night.

The valedictorian of the graduating class will lead the march.

Finnimore says, "it will be a fantastic time for the Thomson kids, who get to see these 'big kids' graduating, and for the seniors who get to come back and take a little trip down memory lane at their old elementary school where it all started."

The ceremony is expected to start around 8:15 a.m. at the time of the first bell. Roughly 300 students attend the Thomson school.

Finnimore calls the event a "circle of life" celebration.
