Colleen Ritzer Services Announced

Funeral arrangements have been made for Colleen Ritzer, the 24-year-old teacher killed this week at Danvers High School.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover.

The funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 a.m. on at St. Augustine Church.

Ritzer was found dead near Danvers High School Wedensday morning, and authorities say she was murdered. A 14-year-old male was arrested and was arraigned on a murder charge in Salem District Court around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to the Colleen Ritzer Memorial Scholarship.

"Colleen adored spending time with her family; she was an amazing daughter and big sister," Ritzer's obituary reads. "She loved attending family gatherings and parties no matter the location, as long as it meant spending as much time with family as possible. She was always thinking of others first."
