Community Preservation Committee Opens Funding Application
The grant for fiscal year 2022 could be used to fund projects for open spaces, historic resources, recreational land, or community housing.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Have an idea to improve North Andover? If it's regarding the acquisition, creation, preservation, or rehabilitation of North Andover’s open spaces, historic resources, recreational land, or community housing, it could be eligible for funding from the Community Preservation Committee.
The CPC has opened applications for grant funding in fiscal year 2022. Applications are due Feb. 5. The CPC will review the applications before recommending projects to the Town Council for a vote.
All of the projects recommended by the CPC were approved by the town council in fiscal year 2021, and included $100,000 for affordable housing, $200,000 toward the Playground Master Plan to upgrade existing Stevens Pond and Aplin playgrounds, and $350,000 to reengineer the front stairwell at the Stevens Memorial Library, among others.
