Excellence Award Earned By YWCA of Greater Lawrence Early Learning Center
YWCA receives 2017 Excellence Award from Raising a Reader Massachusetts.

Methuen, MA —At an awards ceremony in Methuen, the YWCA of Greater Lawrence Early Learning Center received a 2017 Excellence Award from Raising a Reader Massachusetts, the statewide program to promote early childhood literacy.
A statement from Raising a Reader Massachusetts said the YWCA was selected “because without fanfare or recognition, you use your time, resources and enthusiasm to enrich the literacy live of children.”
According to Raising a Reader’s website, “We focus on strengthening family literacy and community literacy connections, a method that is proven to work” to have a positive impact on success in school and for a lifetime.

Accepting the award was: Mandy Chaput, Director of the YWCA preschool program; Sol Rosario, Sr. Program Manager at the YWCA preschool; and Ana Checo, YWCA preschool teacher accepted the award from Tasha Esperanza of MA Raising a Reader.
