Police: Andover Man Killed By Train Was Trespassing
DA: Death of an Andover Man hit by a train in North Andover appears 'accidental.'

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — A 24-year-old Andover man was killedafter he was hit by a Haverhill-line commuter train in North Andover on Tuesday night, the Eagle-Tribune reports.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was struck at around 11 p.m. in the area of the Sutton Street crossing, near Sutton and North Main streets, police said.
Transit police said in a statement Wednesday morning the man was trespassing on the tracks, the Eagle-Tribune reports.

A spokeswoman for the Essex County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday afternoon the death appeared to be accidental.
"He was not directly in front of the train," Carrie Kimball-Monahan said told the Eagle- Tribune.

When police and firefighters responded to the scene they found the man had suffered serious injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
