National Grid Sets Timetable For Power Restoration
High winds are causing power outages across the Merrimack Valley, with outages reported in both Andover and North Andover.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- National Grid estimates power will be restored to North Andover by 7 pm Monday and to Andover by 8 pm Monday. The utility said 428 of its 12,584 customers in North Andover were without power at 4 pm. In Andover, 254 of National Grid's 14,169 customers were without power.
In Andover, all Middle and High School activities were stopping at 4 pm, and all evening activities were canceled. In North Andover, according to town officials, the outages were affecting Great Pond Road, Bradford Street, Brentwood Circle, Cochichewick Drive, Bridle Path, Marbleridge Road, Coachmans Lane, Campion Road, Bonny Lane and Highwood Way.
