North Andover Active Case Count Falls Below 100 Cases
The town reported 97 coronavirus cases Monday, the fewest since November.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's active case count fell to 97 cases Monday, the first day with fewer than 100 active coronavirus cases since late Nov.
The town's active case count fell by more than half in the last month, from 219 cases on Jan. 8. For the last two weeks, the town has been classified as moderate risk, or yellow, by the state.
There are nine active Merrimack College cases, part of a recent uptick in cases associated with the college that peaked with 14 on Saturday.

Eighty-three residents have died and 2,190 have recovered from the virus.
The town is calling all residents 75 and older to see if they need help registering for vaccine appointments, it said in the latest virus update, although there are very few appointments available.

"Employees are marking down residents’ interest, ability to travel for the vaccine and other information, and then following up to help them make appointments when they become available," the town said.
