North Andover Man Dies While Skiing
Schnellinger will be remembered for his quick smile and infectious laugh.

NEWBURY, N.H. - Newbury police have identified Thomas S. Schnellinger, 44, of North Andover who was found unresponsive on a trail at Mount Sunapee Resort ski area earlier this month, according to the Union-Leader.
Schnellinger, who worked at DEKA Research and Development in Manchester, N.H., was found unresponsive on the Skyway trail on March 12. The ski patrol delivered cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and he was transported to New London Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Union-Leader reports.
According to an online obituary, Schnellinger worked alongside his brother at DEKA for the last 17 years. He studied engineering at Northeastern University and had exceptional welding and mechanical design skills. He was named on many patents as a co-inventor.

He was incredibly talented with his hands and was already ready to help friends and family with their home-improvement projects, according to his obituary. He enjoyed skiing, biking with his brother, surfing on the seacoast and cooking for his friends.

Survivors include his mother, Dagmar; his brother, Andrew; and his fiancée, Angela, who lives in Merrimack, N.H..He is predeceased by his father, Gerhard Schnellinger.
Calling hours are today (March 31) from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home in North Andover.
