North Andover Police Food Drive Moved To Sunday Due To Weather

As a storm rolls into town, the police department opted to move the food drive. Here's what to know.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Because forecasters are predicting a snow storm Saturday, North Andover police's planned "Cram A Cruiser" food drive is being postponed until Sunday.

A lot of precipitation is expected Saturday, with rain turning to snow Saturday afternoon in what could be a significant nor'easter. Snow could fall at rates of 1-2 inches per hour.

The food drive will also be held on Dec. 12 and Dec. 19. Masking and other coronavirus safety procedures must be followed at all times.

The Food Bank at North Andover Senior Center is seeking non-perishable food and personal care item donations.

Those who were planning to make a donation but cannot attend the rescheduled event can still donate by dropping food off at the police station at 1475 Osgood Street.

The food bank is open to all town residents in nee. Pick-up is at the senior center, 120R Main Street, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays & Wednesdays.
