NORTH ANDOVER - After closing North Andover public schools on Tuesday due to a fast-approaching nor'easter, School Superintendent Jennifer Price issued all students a snow-day challenge: Grab a rock.

In her "Superintendent's Snow Day Challenge,'' Price has asked students to use their snow day to join with the North Andover Youth Center to participate in "Kindness Rocks,'' a program where rocks are painted with a quote to inspire others.

The colorful rocks are then added to the Kindness Rocks garden at the Youth Center's flagpole.

The challenge winner will receive lunch from Stachey’s Pizza or a Scholastic book of their choice delivered to their school by Price.
