North Andover Seeks a Few Good Master Planners

A master plan would serve as a guide for future growth in the community.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The town is looking for volunteers to help draft a master plan that would serve as a guide for future growth in the community.

The committee will work with the town’s consultant, the Planning Board and Planning Department staff to complete the master plan.

The town is seeking members who have experience in any of the following fields: land use; housing; economic development; cultural and historical protection; watershed protection; open space conservation and recreation; transportation and community facilities; and services management.

The town also welcomes residents who are active in neighborhood, school or other local associations.

And it's not just residents who are invited. The Master Plan Committee should include local business owners.

Developing a master plan will take about 18 months to two years, with meetings two or more nights per month.

Anyone who would like to serve on the Master Plan Committee is asked to submit a letter of interest and a resume to the Community and Economic Development Office, 120 Main St., North Andover, MA 01845 or email Eric Kfoury, at ekfoury@northandoverma.gov.
