NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover's Select Board condemned the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol building in a statement Monday.

"We join people around the state and the country in calling for an end to the hateful, divisive, and false rhetoric that led to domestic terrorism," the Board wrote. "We repudiate the wholly false narrative and any effort to perpetuate it."

The Board encouraged other town and school leaders to follow their lead and thanked the police who defended the capitol.
