North Andover Sidewalk & Repaving On Rte. 114 Begins
Work will continue throughout the summer.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- The MassDOT is installing sidewalks along Rte. 114 in the area of Royal Crest from 510 Turnpike to Berkeley Road and alongside Merrimack College.
Sidewalks are also being installed on Elm Street from Rte. 114 to the entrance of the College. Rte. 114 in the same area will also be repaved as part of this project.
The project began on May 15 and will be substantially complete by the last week of July.

Excavation work started on the southbound (Royal Crest) side of 114.
Acomplete sign package with variable message boards will be in place at ends of the project and on Route 125 near Peters Street.

The work will require closure of 1 lane at a time.
Work hours Monday-Friday will be 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but the lane closure cannot occur until after 9 a.m. on the southbound side of 114 due to the heavy morning commute.
The paving operation will done at night between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. and is scheduled to start on July 5 and continuing into the week of July 17.
