North Andover Wins First State Football Title
The Scarlet Knights beat King Philip of Wrentham 6-0 at Gillette Stadium Friday night.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- Mike Roche sealed a 6-0 win for North Andover by sacking the King Philip of Wrentham quarterback on the final play of the state Division 2 championship game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Friday night. North Andover's win ended a streak of 11 straight playoff wins and gave the Scarlet Knights their first state championship in football. North Adnover finished the season a perfect 12-0.
