Obituary: Genia A. (Kaskiewicz) Kmiec, Her True Legacy Was Her Genuine Love of People
Mrs. Kmiec was a long time member of St. Michael's Parish. She was the past president of the St. Clare's League of Catholic Women.

Genia A. (Kaskiewicz) Kmiec, A long time resident of North Andover, Mrs. Kmiec passed away in her beloved home on Monday, September 21, 2015.
She was the widow of the late Mr. Frank J. Kmiec whom passed away in 1995. Mrs. Kmiec was born in Maynard, Massachusetts. She was the youngest child of Anastasia (Dagalewicz) and Boleslaw Kaskiewicz.

She was a proud graduate of Maynard High School. She worked in various factories in Maynard and Saxonville as a design setter on oriental rugs. During WWII she worked at the defense plant in Hudson. She was a loyal employee of Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for 32 years, retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Kmiec was a long time member of St. Michael’s Parish. She was the past president of the St. Clare’s League of Catholic Women, a former member of the Order of Alhambra,a member of AARP,ATT,CWA and RMC. She was a lifetime member of the Pioneers and St. Theresa’s Rainbow Club.

Mrs. Kmiec enjoyed extensive traveling abroad and in the states and weekly dancing when her husband Frank was alive. In addition, she was an avid daily walker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and in her later years, taking care of her late husband’s gardens. Genia will be greatly missed by her caregivers, particularly Donna and Lucy of Help in Home and her wonderful neighbors, the Waldie’s and the Solof’s. Genia’s true legacy was her genuine love of the people she encountered. She was the epitome of the Greatest Generation.
All are welcome to her Funeral Mass on Friday, September 25th at 10AM in St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover. Visitation will be held prior to her funeral mass from 8:30 to 9:30 in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover
