Karen (Meuse) Stickney, 55, of Andover and formerly of North Andover, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.
She was born in Winchester and raised in Woburn. Karen was a resident of Andover for the past 20 years and was a member of St. Augustine’s Church. She was a dedicated employee of Tufts University for 28 years, working in operations.

Karen always made a point of acknowledging the achievements of others. Whether it was her family, friends or acquaintances, she would take the time to recognize and congratulate them. Her favorite expressions: Don’t ever talk or judge…you never know what your future holds. I always know a true friend, because they never left my side.
Family members include her loving husband of 22 years, Stephen D. Stickney; her son, Matthew S. Stickney and her daughter, Meghan R. Stickney, all of Andover; her parents, Ada L. (Meehan) Meuse of Billerica and the late Joseph J. Meuse; brothers, Joseph J. Meuse, Jr. of Topsham, ME; John P. Meuse and his wife Kathy of Billerica and Gerald R. Meuse and his wife Judy of Sagamore Beach, MA; her sister, Mary A. Walby and her husband Charles of Madison, CT. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. There will be no calling hours and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association, 353 Southern Artery, Quincy, MA 02169.
Arrangements are by the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading.
