Plane Trouble and Stolen Real Estate Sign

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Monday Jan. 13


At 2:15 a.m., a police officer noticed an odor of gas at the intersection of Osgood Street and Prescott street. Columbia Gas was notified.

At 10:40 a.m., North Andover Youth Services reported a loose dog in the area. Police did not find the dog.

At 4:19 p.m., a small plane lost one of its engines before landing. Read the complete story here.

Tuesday, Jan. 14


At 11:56 a.m., a caller on Middlesex Street reported that someone stole a real estate sign overnight.

At 5:13 p.m., Kohl's reported a female shoplifter. The subject will be summonsed for larceny.

At 7:52 p.m., a caller at Royal Crest reported that her adult daughter was out of control and that she wanted the daughter to leave.

At 8:48 p.m., a caller on Gray Street reported hearing a gun shot. Police did not find anything.
