NORTH ANDOVER — Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito will be the main speaker at the North Andover Republican Town Committee's annual Spring Fling at the China Blossom Restaurant on Monday, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on March 13 with State Rep. James Lyons, R-Andover, who represents three of North Andover's eight precincts, serving as master of ceremonies.

“We’re very excited to have the lieutenant governor joining us for what is one of our favorite events of the year,” said C.J. Gangi, chairman of the Republican Town Committee told the Eagle-Tribune.

“In addition to supporting the work of the committee, part of what we raise will help to fund our Jim Gammie Scholarship, which we award annually to a college-bound high school senior,” he said.

The late James Gammie, a Scottish immigrant who worked as an engineer at Western Electric, led the North Andover Republican Town Committee for many years. He also served on the town Finance Committee.
