Stand-Up Comedy Is Coming To The Firehouse

The arts center will host three comedians on Friday, June 3.

The Firehouse Center for the Arts on Market Square in Newburyport will host Stand-Up Comedy Night on Friday, June 3 at 8 p.m. The comedy showcase will feature comedians Frank Santorelli, Carolyn Plummer, and Drew Dunn.

Santorelli is a regular fixture on the comedy circuit in Las Vegas and has performed on Conan O’ Brien, Comedy Central, HBO Comedy Showcase, Showtime, and in network television and films. Santorelli is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Georgie on the HBO program “The Sopranos.” He has also appeared on “Law and Order” and the Showtime series “The Brotherhood.”

Plummer is a local favorite that has been on the Boston-area comedy circuit for the past ten years. She has just returned from a recent USO Tour entertaining troupes overseas and is often booked to perform at colleges and private parties.

Dunn is the newest star on the Boston-area comedy scene. Headliners at venues such as Foxwoods, Catch A Rising Star, and Giggles, just to name a few, have already requested Dunn as their opening act.
