Woman Arrested in Connection with Skipping Jury Duty

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Monday, June 3

At 1:25 p.m. a caller reported a four-car motor vehicle accident on Andover Street.

At 5:43 p.m. a caller reported vandalism to his garage on Palomino Drive. 

At 6:18 p.m. a caller reported a large pothole on Lacy Street. An officer had a cone placed near the pothole to alert other motorists.

At 10:15 p.m. police arrested Jordan J. Burgess, 74, of 300 Pleasant St., on Pleasant Street. Burgess was charged with disturbing the peace.  

Tuesday, June 4

At 7:23 a.m. a caller reported a break-in to a motor vehicle on Nutmeg Lane. The break-in happened sometime overnight. 

At 7:27 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Route 114. Injuries were reported but all individuals involved denied transported to a medical facility.

At 8:11 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle break-in on Summer Street. The caller said money and gift cards were stolen from the vehicle.

At 9:14 a.m. a caller reported that two unlocked motor vehicles were broken into on Spring Hill Road. The break-ins occurred sometime the previous night. 

At 9:40 a.m. police arrested Thet H. Tin, 22, of 678 Massachusetts Ave., on Massachusetts Avenue. Tin was charged with assault and battery on a household member.

At 2:28 p.m. a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported at the intersection of Route 114 and Waverly Road. All individuals involved denied transportation to a medical facility. 

At 7:14 p.m. police arrested Tara M. Smith, 27, of 29 Washington St., Apt. 2F, Beverly, on Johnson Street. Smith was arrested on a warrant for failing to attend jury duty.
