Driver Hospitalized After Thanksgiving Crash In Norton

A man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence after his car hit a utility pole.

NORTON, MA—A Thanksgiving morning crash in Norton has left a driver with serious injuries after his car collided with a utility pole at Route 123 and Oak Street.

The unidentified victim appeared to be in his 60s, Fire Department Captain Alvin Fuller told the Sun Chronicle. Road conditions were poor at the time of the crash due to rainy weather.

Th crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m., sending the vehicle about 20 to 30 feet into the woods.

Norton firefighters removed the vehicle's door with hydraulic cutting tools to reach the driver. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
