Norton Weather: Foot of Snow Possible

NORTON, MA — A spring snowstorm could drop up to a foot of snow on Norton this weekend.

Sunday is the first day of spring. That night, snow will develop across New England.

Norton is expected to receive 6-8 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. That forecast could change depending on the track of the storm.

NWS issued this hazardous weather alert:

LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OFF THE EAST COAST SUNDAY INTO MONDAY MAY PRODUCE MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW. THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY IN THE TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM. IF IT TRACKS ALONG THE COAST THE PROBABILITY OF HEAVY SNOW WILL INCREASE...IF IT TRACKS FURTHER OFFSHORE LESS SNOW WILL OCCUR. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER STATEMENTS AND FORECASTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REGARDING THE POTENTIAL IMPACTS FROM THIS STORM SYSTEM.
