The freezing rain will make for hazardous travel conditions Wednesday night into Thursday.

NORTON, MA - A freezing rain advisory will be in effect from 8 Wednesday night until 3 Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is for Middlesex, Essex, Southern Worcester, Norfolk and Suffolk counties.

The freezing rain is expected to bring a trace to a few hundreds of an inch of ice with temperatures in the lower 30s.

The timing of the rain will be between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday night and continuing until 3 a.m. Thursday.

The freezing rain will make for hazardous travel conditions. Untreated roads and walkways will be slippery, as well as bridges, overpasses and other elevated platforms.
