UPDATE: Man Killed After Standoff in Norton Identified
The Norton man reportedly fired at police when they knocked on his door, prompting a shooting and standoff.

UPDATE: The man shot dead after a standoff with police in Norton was identified as 48-year-old Kevin J. Murray, NECN reports. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner of the Norton resident’s death.

Investigators are trying to determine if the man killed himself or if he was shot by police, Fox25 reports.
Police were called to the Azalea Street home around 10:30 p.m. Saturday after neighbors called to report loud yelling inside the house. The man was reportedly fighting with a woman inside.

When officers knocked on the door, the man reportedly began shooting at them through the door. Police shot back and called in the SWAT team.
Around 3 a.m., State Police sent a robot into the home, finding the man dead.
