Joel Johnson was the fastest Norton runner in the 2017 Boston Marathon with a time of 3:10:34.

BOSTON, MA — The 2017 Boston Marathon Monday featured more than 30,000 runners and eight of them are from Norton. Joel Johnson, 41, was the fastest Norton runner with a time of 3 hours, 10 minutes and 34 seconds. Overall, Kenyan Geoffrey Kirui won the men's race with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes and 37 seconds. Fellow Kenyan Edna Kiplagat won the women's race with a time of 2 hours, 21 minutes and 53 seconds. Both were running the Boston Marathon for the first time.
