Cameron Stalters finished in 2nd place at Div.3 NCAA Nationals in Javelin

La Crosse, Wis. – Fitchburg State junior Cameron Stalters (Norton, Mass.) collected All-American honors this past weekend at the 2018 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, finishing second overall in the javelin with a personal best toss of 69.90 meters (229'4") at the Veteran's Memorial Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. This is one of the top 10 throws ever in the NCAA division.
Cameron entered the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships ranked third in the nation in the javelin after securing his spot into the National Championships with a first place throw of 68.47 meters at the 2018 DIII New England Championships, hosted by MIT earlier this month.
This was his third time attending Nationals throwing Javelin. He has garnered MASCAC and New England honors several times over the seasons and while a Freshman received Fitchburg States "Rookie Sports Athlete of the Year" Award.
He is majoring in Construction Technology/Management at the school.
