Norton High Announces Class Of 2020 Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Norton High graduating seniors Vicki Tran and Breelyn Gilbert have been named the school's valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

NORTON, MA —A seven-time Presidential Excellence Award winner, president of the Math Honor Society, treasurer of student council and four-year varsity tennis player has been named the Norton High School class of 2020 valedictorian.

Vicki Tran has earned the top honor out of 180 graduating seniors a the school.

Breelyn Gilbert has been named the school's salutatorian.

Tran was the vice president of the student council, received the Presidential Excellence Award in history, math, history, science and English and earned the Bristol County Education Association Award for being Norton's top-ranking senior in her class.

She is also a two-time tennis team most valuable player who plans to attend Tufts University on a pre-med track.

Gilbert is a member of six honor societies at the school, was named co-president of the Science Honor Society and vice president of the Math Honor Society. She was also the captain of the volleyball team and volunteers at the Providence YMCA.

Gilbert plans to attend the Providence College honors program as a double major in biology and psychology with a focus in neuroscience.
