Norton HS Track & Field

Strong showing for track athletes

The Lancers won their home meet against non-league opponent Dedham.
Paul Wisnaskas broke a school record for Norton in the 400 hurdles with a time of 56.5. It is the fastest time in Massachusetts this year. Wisnaskas also won the 400 hurdles, triple jump and high jump.
Corey Stalters won the 110 hurdles in the second fastest time in the league this year of 15.3, had a huge toss in the javelin (177′ 4″) — the furthest throw in Massachusetts this year. He also placed second in the long jump.
Other first places on the day included Matt Pepin (shotput), Kevin Mahoney (mile), DJ Nihill (800) and Ethan Tetrault (2-mile).

The girls team lost to Dedham but Winners for Norton were Kirsten Loring (100 and 200), Julia Newell (long jump), Shelly Belcher (mile), Kylie Dion (400) and Meg Cross (800).
The Lancers won both relays.
