The Norton Girls Track & Field team ended their season undefeated in the Tri Valley League and placed 2nd at the Championship meet last night. The boys team finished in 4th place. 3 Lancers were event Champions.
Junior Paul Wisnaskas won the 55 hurdles in a new school record time of 7.92 and the 600m in 1.26.6 and finished 2nd in high jump. Freshman Ali Murphy took the 300m in 42.25. Junior Bella Pietrasiewicz won the 1000m in 2.37.6 which qualified her to run the 800m at the New Balance Nationals meet in NYC.
Heather Kurland took 2nd in 55 hurdles, Eve Rodriguez 3rd in 55 dash, Meg Cross 4th in 1000m, Michaela Whiteside 4th in shot put,Sean Wynne 5th in the 1000m Shea Podbelski and Skye Goba 5th and 6th in the mile, Sienna Pietrasiewicz and Brooke Dennet placed 3rd and 4th in the Freshman mile. Athletes had 22 personal best times at the meet.
