Norton Mosquitos Tested Positive for West Nile

The state has confirmed Norton had a case of West Nile Virus in mosquitos in Norton.

Norton Board of Health agent Leon Dumont said there isn’t much cause for concern though, as the mosquito was a breed that only bites birds.

Dumont said the state contacted him on July 30 to inform him of the infection. Dumont said the mosquito was found in the Northern quadrant of the town, near the Easton Mansfield Norton borders.
