Norton Opioid Prevention Education Will Hold Virtual Vigil
The vigil will be held for those who have died from opioid abuse and overdoses.
NORTON, MA — Norton Opioid Prevention Education (NOPE) will sponsor a virtual vigil for those who have died from opioid overdose deaths on National Opioid Awareness Day on Aug. 31.
The vigil is aimed at raising awareness during the opioid crisis. The Bristol Norfolk Medical Reserve Corp. will co-sponsor the event.
Those who have a loved one or friend who was lost to opioid addiction can have that person acknowledged during the vigil by sending the names to the Norton Board of Health office at 508-285-0263 or bohoffice@nortonmaus.com.

The vigil is set to begin at 7 p.m. The public can attend via Zoom here with Meeting ID 639 151 9600 and call-in number 646-558-8656.
The submitted names of all of those who suffered opioid-relate deaths will be read during the vigil.
