Norton police Wednesday night said they arrested the teen in connection with a 5-alarm fire at an abandoned mill on May 13.

NORTON, MA —A 17-year-old is under arrest in connection with the fire that destroyed an abandoned Norton mill on Barrows Street, Norton police said Wednesday night.

Norton police said the teen is being held on $250,000 bail will be arraigned at a later date.

The massive fire gutted a Norton mill on Barrows Street on May 13. The fire, which reached five alarms, required water to have to be brought in from a nearby river because hydrants near the mill were no longer working after the private hydrants and sprinklers burst last winter.
