Norton Police Charge 18-Year-Old With DUI In 3-Car Crash

NORTON, MA — Norton police charged an East Bridgewater man with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol after he was involved in a three-car crash on Newland Street. Police said Joshue Tibbetts, 18, was attempting to pass two vehicles he he struck both of them.

Police said when they arrived shortly after 10:45 all three vehicles were pointed in the same direction and had sustained heavy damage. Norton fire treated the victims at the scene and they were released.

Tibbetts as charged with OUI, being a minor in possession of alcohol, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. He was to appear in Attleboro District Court on Tuesday.
