Norton Police Charge Taunton Man With DUI In Head-On Crash
Norton police said the other driver suffered non-life threatening injures when his car was struck on Taunton Avenue Wednesday night.
NORTON, MA — Norton police charged a Taunton man with driving under the influence of alcohol after police said the car he was driving veered across the median line and struck another car head on Wednesday night. Norton police said the man driving the car that was struck on Taunton Avenue was brought to Sturdy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Daniel Carter, 23, was charged with DUI, negligent operation of a vehicle and marked lanes violations.
Police said Carter was traveling southbound on Taunton Avenue near Meadowbrook Lane about 11 Wednesday night when his car crossed into the northbound lane and struck the second car head on. Police said Norton fire took the injured driver to the hospital and that Carter was not injured in the crash.

Carter was set to be arraigned at Attleboro District Court on Thursday morning. Norton Patrolman Jarrad Morse is investigating the crash.
