Norton Police Log May 17-19: Second Offense OUI

Friday, May 17

7:37 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle collision on West Main Street. No injuries were reported.

2:53 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle collision on Mansfield Avenue. No injuries were reported.

1:58 a.m. Caller reported several subjects walked by and ripped up her mailbox and threw it on her lawn. Trash barrels and other mailboxes were damaged.

2:41 a.m. Caller reported more trash barrels in the area of Plain Street.

3:10 a.m. Caller reported two horses found in the roadway on North Washington Street. They were rounded up and returned to their owner.

6:03 a.m. Caller reported his windshield was smashed during the night.

11:50 a.m. Caller reported her mailbox and motorcycle were knocked down during the night.

1:02 p.m. Caller reported he was struck by a motor vehicle while riding his bicycle. Caller was treated on scene for minor injuries.

4:23 p.m. Joao Dosreis, 47, of 75 Elm St. was arrested for was arrested for his second offense of operation of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a marked lanes violation, failure to stop for police and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

8:47 p.m. Caller reported a Blue Chevy backed into the property across the street from him and took off, causing damage to the mailbox and timbers.
