Brian Coughlin Named Corporate Member of Delta Dental of Rhode Island

Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a privately-held, family-operated discount retail chain with 131 stores in New England, New York, and New Jersey is pleased to announce that Norton, Massachusetts resident Brian Coughlin was recently named a Corporate Member of Delta Dental of Rhode Island during the company’s recent annual meeting.

Corporate Members play a key role in making recommendations regarding Delta Dental of Rhode Island’s by-laws and approving nominations to its Board of Directors. Coughlin will serve a three-year term.

Coughlin, who serves as Ocean State Job Lot’s Manager of Total Rewards, was selected based on OSJL’s long-standing reputation as an employer of choice, with more than 5,000 employees across New England, New Jersey and New York. Coughlin brings more than 45 years of human relations experience to the Corporation Committee, providing a wealth of knowledge in current human resource regulations, benefits and healthcare.

A dedicated human resource professional, with strong expertise in human resource management, Coughlin holds a Master of Management from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Dean College.

rior to joining Ocean State Job Lot, Coughlin held human resource director positions at top companies including ExxonMobil, Texas Instruments, Maxtor, Smiths Detection and Lee Hecht Harrison, to name a few.
